Off-Road racing, also known in Europe as Formula Off-Road, requires specifically modified vehicles, typically including trucks, cars, motorcycles, and buggies. As the sport progressed through the years many races have taken center stage with large audiences and sophisticated teams providing very exciting and challenging race venues.
One of the most well-known races to evolve is the Baja 1000 which attracts competitors worldwide and allows many types of off-road vehicles pitting two-wheel against four-wheel, and usually takes 20 - 25 hours to complete. The very nature of this point-to-point long distance race makes it difficult for spectators versus a loop race which starts and ends in the same location.
Off-Road race venues have developed into specialty classes in each category. Some of the major categories we follow are Off-Road Desert, Off-Road Short Course, Ultra4/KOH (King of Hammers), Rock Crawling, Mudding, and a support category called Off-Road PreRunners.
