Road racing, or circuit racing as it is referred to in many places, might well be the largest motorsports category in the world. It is certainly the most diverse. Competing vehicles cover genres from small engine, lightweight, purpose built formula cars, to full size production chassis touring cars, fabricated tube frame cars, and a long list of other specialty categories that provide competition opportunities at every experience level imaginable. Rules governing the various classes can be highly restrictive, or completely open to the builder. This diverse range of specially prepared vehicles racing on a myriad of venue types creates an equally diverse range of brake system and component requirements.

For many categories that are closely defined by rules and vehicle type, Wilwood has created road racing kits for many popular applications within our bolt-on brake kit line. Kits in this group are focused first and foremost on safety and overall stopping power, along with system balance, effective heat management, sustained durability, and optimized configurations within the class rules.
