D154 Front Caliper Kit

Wilwood's D154 Front Caliper Kit is a direct bolt-on 1 or 2 piston, lightweight, high-strength, extreme duty alternative to the OE cast iron "Metric" calipers that were used on a wide range of factory disc brake equipped mid size GM cars and small trucks beginning in 1978. Use of this caliper can still be found on some GM models as late as the year 2002. Forged billet aluminum bodies, stainless steel pistons, and competition style high-temperature seals put an end to the rust, bore pitting, and seal failures that plague the OE caliper design. D154 calipers provide low-maintenance performance and a huge weight savings with high temperature reliability for the street and track. D154 calipers mount in the stock location over stock rotors; use the original style OE D154 brake pads and an OE M10-1.5 banjo bolt brake line mounting. D154 Calipers can be used with most wheels that clear the OE calipers. The front calipers with 2.50” piston provide 4.90 square inches of piston area per caliper, in order to maintain the original front to rear brake bias and use of the OE master cylinder. The D154 is also available in a two piston version with 1.62 pistons, offering 4.12 square inches of area. Kits contain Wilwood’s hardened slide pins and BP-10 high friction pads. Matching rear calipers are also available for custom installations. Custom stainless steel brake lines are also available.

Wilwood's D52 Front Caliper Kit is a direct bolt-on 2 piston replacement for the factory original single calipers on many 1968-96 GM Passenger Vehicles and Trucks. Forged billet aluminum bodies, stainless steel pistons, and competition style high-temperature seals put an end to the rust, bore pitting, and seal failures that plague the OE caliper design. D52 calipers provide low-maintenance performance and a huge weight savings with high temperature reliability for the street and track. D52 calipers mount in the stock location over stock rotors, use the original style OE D52 brake pads and an OE 7/16-20 banjo bolt brake line mounting. Calipers can be used with most wheels that clear the OE calipers. The front calipers with 2.00” piston provide 6.28 square inches of piston area per caliper, in order to maintain the original front to rear brake bias and use of the OE master cylinder. Kits contain Wilwood’s hardened slide pins and BP-10 high friction pads. Matching rear calipers are also available for custom installations. Vehicles 1978 & Up (with M10-1.5 banjo bolts) will require new brake lines available below.

Based on the venerable Forged Dynapro Dustboot caliper, these kits were developed for applications or locations that require or prefer a dust-sealed piston. Dust-booted aluminum pistons provide added protection against road or track born dirt and debris on low to intermediate temperature range applications that may also operate in harsh environments. Most vehicle applications require no modifications for installation, and provide plenty of clearance inside popular 15" wheels. These kits feature either the FDLI or FDL-M four piston forged aluminum calipers and 11.00” to 11.88" diameter one-piece rotors. The FDL-M caliper is a modified version of the time-tested Forged Dynalite caliper, and provides the greatest amount of wheel clearance of any four piston caliper in its size class. The OEM style one-piece cast iron rotors with integrated hubs simplify installation while providing superb dimensional stability and wear resistance. These versatile kits are easily optioned to suit the braking requirements and style preferences for a daily driver or the most discriminating show enthusiast. Intended vehicle applications require no modifications for installation, and clear most 14" or 15" OEM or aftermarket disc brake wheels. Kits generally will not fit OEM drum brake wheels. Forged Superlite 4R Big Brake Front Brake Kit (Race)

Kits in this competition group are configured for road racing on vehicles equipped with OE production based suspension in categories where brake system upgrades are permitted. Each component is selected application specific for performance and durability in sustained high heat competition. All kits include forged aluminum, fixed mount “ST” series calipers equipped with Thermlock® pistons to resist fade and extend service life by reducing the heat transfer into the calipers from the pads. GT series Spec 37 alloy rotors provide high cooling efficiency, thermal stability, and durability. Overall unsprung and rotating weight are minimized by mounting the rotors to the hubs or axle with forged aluminum hats. Kits also include high temperature race compound pads, stainless steel braided flexlines, caliper mounting brackets, and all premium grade hardware. Forged Narrow Superlite 4R Big Brake Rear Brake Kit (Race)

Forged Narrow Superlite 4R caliper rear road race kits provide matched performance in conjunction with FSL6R and W6AR front race kits on vehicles built specifically for competition. BSL4R calipers use stainless steel pistons to retard heat transfer from the pads and high temperature seals for reliability in sustained high heat. Radial mount brackets attach the caliper in the stock location. GT series directional vane competition rotors provide high efficiency cooling and mount to the drive axles with forged aluminum hats. Kits also include high temperature, high friction race compound pads and all premium grade fasteners.
