Forged Narrow Superlite 6R Big Brake Front Brake Kit (Race) Description

This kit is configured for dedicated road racing on all 1988-1996 Chevrolet Corvette and requires 17” or larger wheels designed with additional inside clearance to accommodate the larger than stock brake package. The six piston FNSL6R/ST radial mount calipers used in this kit feature a forged aluminum body with a Type III Mil-Spec hard anodized, medium gray color finish. Hard anodizing provides superior wear resistance in the piston bores, and high resistance to abrasion and corrosion throughout. Thermlock® pistons are used to reduce heat transfer from the pads to increase fade resistance, and to extend service life by decreasing temperatures in the caliper body, fluid, and seals. Internal damper springs and controlled retraction, high-temperature piston seals assure consistent pedal height from start to finish. Spec37 alloy, GT competition series 12.88” diameter directional vane rotors are fixed mounted to the OE hubs with weight saving forged aluminum hats. Unsprung and rotating weight are minimized while providing high cooling efficiency and rugged durability with thermal stability in sustained high heat competition. Mounting brackets, including all premium grade fasteners, secure the calipers in the stock location without modifications. This race winning system is completed with high temperature, high friction, endurance compound race pads selected specifically by application. Stainless steel braided flexlines are included.

Forged Narrow Superlite 4R Big Brake Rear Brake Kit (Race) Description

FNSL4R rear race kits provide high capacity braking for dedicated track use on Corvettes and other purpose built vehicles equipped with 1988-1996 C4 Corvette rear suspension. The parking brake is eliminated and the original equipment single piston combination caliper is replaced with a high efficiency, forged aluminum, fixed radial mount narrow four piston Superlite caliper. The forged caliper bodies feature a Type III Mil-Spec, medium gray color hard anodized finish. Hard anodizing provides superior wear resistance in the piston bores and high resistance to abrasion and corrosion throughout. Stainless steel pistons with internal damping springs are used with controlled retraction, high temperature seals for long term durability and consistent performance during extreme duty use. The caliper piston volume is fully compatible and matched to the output of the OE master cylinder on production based Corvettes, and easily configured with balance bar manual brake pedals in non-OE based purpose built race vehicles. The calipers are coupled with weight-saving two-piece rotor assemblies using 12.88” diameter Spec37 alloy direction vane GT series rotors mounted to the OE hubs with forged aluminum hats. High-temperature, high friction, endurance race compound brakes pads are specifically selected per application to provide high brake torque with smooth driver control and long wear in sustained high temperature competition.
