It was an eventful time for Wilwood at the SEMA trade show and OPTIMA’s Ultimate Street Car Invitational in Las Vegas, Nevada, Oct. 31 - Nov. 5.

Nearly 3,000 components were entered into the SEMA New Product Showcase and judged in 16 award categories. Wilwood was honored to accept a Best New Products Award in the Street Rod/Custom Car Product category for our new Tandem Brake and Hydraulic Clutch Pedal Kit. This universal product can be used for a variety of street and race vehicle applications, and simplifies the installation process.

The day after SEMA ended, 92 pro-touring vehicles took to the track to compete for the title of “Ultimate Street Car” in OPTIMA’s Ultimate Street Car Invitational. In the end, Ken Thwaits was crowned the 2017 champion in his 2006 Mitsubishi EVO equipped with Wilwood forged Superlite six piston calipers, 14” Spec37 GT rotors (front and rear) and dynamic floating hats. Congratulations to Ken Thwaits and the entire Showtime Motorsports team for their much-deserved and hard-fought win.
