Utilizing the newest version of the Forged Dynalite Caliper (FDLI) with 12.19” diameter, 0.81” thick Spec37 rotors offer repeatable brake performance for street and competition use. With direct mount rotor adapters for CSX6000 hubs and spindle brackets, this kit offers a direct mount, no modification solution for these vehicles. Included BP10 pads offer high friction and low NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) characteristics, within moderate to medium high temperature ranges.

Forged Dynalite ProSeries kits provide high performance, big brake stopping power by combining modern brake technology with high-tech styling to update the brakes on your compact sport vehicle. The OE calipers and rotors are replaced with forged aluminum, four-piston calipers mounted over larger diameter, certified alloy 30-vane vented iron rotors. The new two-piece rotor assemblies provide weight-saving forged aluminum mounting hats. The calipers feature an increase in effective piston volume to deliver higher clamping power with less pedal effort than stock. The thicker, vented rotor design adds cooling efficiency and durability to extend service life. BP-series SmartPads add high-response with increased resistance to fade and longer wear over typical OE replacement pads. Options for caliper colors and rotor styles are available to personalize the look on any car. For on-track driving enthusiasts, additional track-only fortifications are available on a custom order basis by contacting the technical staff at the factory.

Wilwood's new limited offset FDLI Pro-Series Front Hub Kits for 73-83 Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth: A,B,E, F & J Body disc offer disc brake upgrade solutions for OEM Disc spindles. We have completely redesigned our Pro Series line of brake kits using a larger 12.19" rotor and new forged aluminum hubs with the express purpose of maintaining the factory wheel position. This new kit does not widen the track from the original disc brake rotor assembly. Based on the venerable Forged Billet Dynalite (FDLI) caliper, these versatile kits are easily optioned to suit the braking requirements and style preferences for a daily driver, serious competition, or the most discriminating show enthusiast. Most vehicle applications require no modifications for installation. FDLI Pro-Series kits can be used with either manual or power boost master cylinders. Kits come complete with calipers, rotors, hub assembly, brackets and hardware. Installation requires purchase of additional brake lines shown below.

Forged Dynalite ProSeries kits provide high performance, big brake stopping power by combining modern brake technology with high-tech styling to update the brakes on your front-wheel-drive sport compact vehicle. The OE calipers and rotors are replaced with forged aluminum, four-piston calipers mounted over larger diameter, certified alloy 30-vane vented iron rotors. The new two-piece rotor assemblies provide weight-saving forged aluminum mounting hats. The calipers feature an increase in effective piston volume to deliver higher clamping power with less pedal effort than stock. The thicker, vented rotor design adds cooling efficiency and durability to extend service life. BP-series SmartPads add high-response with increased resistance to fade and longer wear over typical OE replacement pads. Options for caliper colors and rotor styles are available to personalize the look on any car. For on-track driving enthusiasts, additional track-only fortifications are available on a custom order basis by contacting the technical staff at the factory.

This kit is configured for dedicated road racing on the various Honda Civics, CRX’s and Del Sols that are equipped with the small bearing hubs and OE spindles that originally used the 240mm / 9.45” diameter rotors. It requires 15” wheels designed with additional inside clearance to accommodate the larger than stock brake package. The four piston FDL/ST calipers used in this kit feature a forged aluminum body with a Type III Mil-Spec hard anodized, medium gray color finish. Hard anodizing provides superior wear resistance in the piston bores, and high resistance to abrasion and corrosion throughout. Thermlock® pistons are used to reduce heat transfer from the pads to increase fade resistance, and to extend service life by decreasing temperatures in the caliper body, fluid, and seals. Internal damper springs and controlled retraction, high-temperature piston seals assure consistent pedal height from start to finish. Caliper piston volumes are sized for compatibility with OE power brake boosters equipped with the larger 15/16” to 1.00” bore master cylinders, and are easily configured with manual brake conversions and balance bar pedals using appropriately sized master cylinders. Spec37 alloy, GT competition series 11.00” diameter 72 vane rotors are mounted to the OE hubs with weight saving forged aluminum hats. Unsprung and rotating weight are minimized while providing high cooling efficiency and rugged durability with thermal stability in sustained high heat competition. Mounting brackets, including all premium grade fasteners, secure the calipers in the stock location, with minor modifications to the caliper mount lugs on the spindles as detailed in figure 2 on page 3 of the installation guide. This race winning system is completed with high temperature, high friction, endurance compound race pads selected specifically by application. Stainless steel braided flexlines are included in each kit to complete the installation.
Note 1. Road Race kits contain high temperature racing pads. Extended low temperature use will cause premature rotor and pad wear. Note 2. This Brake Kit requires 15-inch wheels with additional inside clearance to accommodate the larger than stock brake package. Please refer to the wheel clearance diagram for requirements. Note 3. This kit requires spindles from vehicles originally equipped with 240mm (9.45") diameter rotors.

The OE two-piston iron calipers and solid plate one-piece rotors are replaced with forged aluminum, four-piston calipers mounted over larger diameter, certified alloy 30 vane vented iron rotors. The new two-piece rotor assemblies attach the OE hub with weight-saving forged aluminum mounting hats. The calipers feature an increase in effective piston volume to deliver higher clamping power with less pedal effort than stock. The thicker, vented rotor design adds cooling efficiency and durability to extend service life. BP series SmartPads add high response with increased resistance to fade and longer wear over typical OE replacement pads. These kits are a direct bolt-on to the OE spindle, use the OE hubs, and can be used with the optional wire wheel knock-off mounts, with no change in track width and without the need for modifications. Options for caliper colors and rotor styles are available to personalize the look on any car. For the on-track driving enthusiasts, additional track-only fortifications are available on a custom order basis by contacting the technical staff at the factory.

Forged Dynalite Big Brake Front Brake Kit (Hat) Description

Forged Dynalite ProSeries kits provide high performance, big brake stopping power by combining modern brake technology with high-tech styling to update the brakes on your front-wheel-drive sport compact vehicle. The OE calipers and rotors are replaced with forged aluminum, four-piston calipers mounted over larger diameter, certified alloy 30-vane vented iron rotors. The new two-piece rotor assemblies provide weight-saving forged aluminum mounting hats. The calipers feature an increase in effective piston volume to deliver higher clamping power with less pedal effort than stock. The thicker, vented rotor design adds cooling efficiency and durability to extend service life. BP-series SmartPads add high-response with increased resistance to fade and longer wear over typical OE replacement pads. Options for caliper colors and rotor styles are available to personalize the look on any car. For on-track driving enthusiasts, additional track-only fortifications are available on a custom order basis by contacting the technical staff at the factory.
Note 1. Kit may fit some 15" wheels. Check wheel clearance diagram in kit installation instructions before purchase. Note 2. This kit requires spindles from vehicles originally equipped with 240mm (9.45") diameter rotors.
